On May 16, a total of 93 crew members from six sailing vessels of different nationalities completed their shifts at Rizhao Port, among whom 47 entered the country.

Due to the global outbreak of COVID-19 epidemic, the crew changes of international sailing ships has become a major problem faced by the shipping industry, which has seriously affected the physical and mental health of crew members.

In this regard, Rizhao Port further optimized joint prevention and control measures, and did well in the management of crew changes on international sailing ships.

Up to May 17, there were 972 crew members changing shifts in Rizhao. From May 1 to May 17, 546 crew members were changing shifts, more than the sum of the previous period, and the crew changing speed was significantly improved.

Rizhao MSA, in accordance with the relevant documents of the Ministry of Transport and local epidemic prevention and control work, provides professional judgment to relevant departments and promotes the effective implementation of relevant regulations on crew changes.

Rizhao MSA will further strengthen the propaganda of the crew changing policy, actively coordinate and promote the orderly and continuous work of the crew, and ensure the crew to change their shifts as soon as possible.
