SPG accelerates integrated development progress SPG 2022-07-26 09:04

The construction of the "container tribe" at Qingdao International Cruise Port was completed and put into operation in late June, showcasing that Shandong Port Group (SPG) is accelerating the integrated development of port construction and container businesses.

The project is being built by Shandong Harbor Engineering Group, which is a subsidiary of SPG, and is located in Shibei district, Qingdao. Covering a construction area of 6,091 square meters, the project boasts distinctive characteristics, and has become a unique seaside scene in Qingdao, as well as a landmark building at Qingdao International Cruise Port.

The project is a supporting facility for the passenger center of the cruise homeport area, and an important part of the construction of Qingdao International Cruise Port.

Since starting construction in 2021, Shandong Harbor Engineering Group has adopted more efficient measures to overcome multiple difficulties such as severe epidemic prevention and control issues and a labor shortage to promote routine construction work.

Thanks to the continuous efforts of Shandong Harbor Engineering Group, the project was completed on schedule, accelerating SPG's pace in port construction and integrated development.
