On August 8, Jiangnan Shipbuilding of CSSC and AW Shipping Limited, the joint venture company established by ADNOC and Wanhua Chemical Group held a naming ceremony for the 86,000 m3 dual-fuel VLGC, which is the first vessel to be built jointly. The new vessel was named AL AIN.

It is understood that following the 3+2 86,000 m3 dual-fuel VLGC order, ADNOC signed a contract with Jiangnan Shipbuilding to build 5+1 175,000 m3 dual-fuel LNG carriers last year, making Jiangnan as the first Chinese company to undertake MARK III LNG carriers.
