Recently, two 100,000 DWT container terminals of the "2+2" terminal project of Nantong Lusi Port have been accepted. It is reported that these are also the first two 100,000 DWT container terminals built in Nantong Port.

The "2+2" terminal project includes two 100,000 DWT container berths and two 100,000 DWT general berths. The designed annual container capacity is 1.4 million TEU.

Using the most advanced automated terminal technology, the project is the first port in Jiangsu Province to achieve fully automated operation using 5G technology.

According to the Master Plan of Nantong Port (2035) approved by the Ministry of Transport of China at the beginning of this year, the overall planning pattern of "one port and four zones" of Nantong Port has been clarified. Rugao Port mainly carries dry bulk cargo and bulk cargo. Nantong Port focuses on the integration of port resources; Tonghai port is the core port for the development of container transportation along the river; Tongzhou Bay Port focuses on container, dry bulk cargo, liquid bulk cargo, LNG and other cargo.
