On September 13, China's first green and intelligent Three Gorges bulk carrier “LIHANGYUJIAN 1” was put into operation and completed its maiden voyage.

The vessel is the first hydro-electric hybrid propelled Three Gorges vessel in the Three Gorges Dam. It is equipped with two 990KW dual fuel engines, 200KWH lithium batteries and a 50m3 LNG storage tank.

It can be intelligently switched to a greener power mode according to the sailing state during voyage, for lower energy consumption and higher efficiency. In addition, the vessel is also installed with a large capacity oil sewage collection device, equipped with the ship's sewage ashore treatment system, to achieve zero discharge of domestic sewage and oil sewage.

The energy consumption of the hybrid vessel is 20% lower than that of the diesel, and the carbon dioxide emission is 30% lower than that of the ordinary ship.
