On September 30, a naming ceremony for icebreaking multipurpose vessel "ZHONG SHAN DA XUE JI DI" was held at Guangzhou Wenchong Dockyard. Sea trials are expected next year.
 
"ZHONG SHAN DA XUE JI DI" was currently one of the world's highest-grade icebreakers, served in the Arctic ice area all year round, and worked in the Beaufort Sea and the Sea of Okhotsk in the Arctic for more than 10 years, for polar replenishment and rescue, offshore oil exploration and other work.

Prior to the naming ceremony, Sun Yat-sen University signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Guangzhou Shipyard International. The two sides will strengthen cooperation and exchanges in scientific and technological innovation, achievement transformation, personnel training and other aspects.
