SPG's automated terminal sets new record SPG 2022-11-14 11:44

The Fully Automated Container Terminal of Qingdao Port of Shandong Port Group (SPG) has continued increasing its production efficiency in recent days. Official statistics showed that the port's terminal created a complete new production record of 7,157.25 TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units) on Oct 30, an increase of 6.83 percent year-on-year, which has broken the previous day shift production record of 6,699.75 TEUs that was set on June 18.

Staff members of the fully automated container terminal at Qingdao Port made meticulous arrangements, including collaboration between port-related institutions, resource planning and allocation, ship planning and other aspects. Additionally, they worked with other departments to ensure the smooth arrival and departure of ships in an orderly way. All these efforts have laid a solid foundation for the high production record.

The fully automated container terminal will deliver more and greater achievements through its strong strengths, in a bid to forge ahead towards Shandong Port Group's ambition of becoming a world-class sea port.
