A delegation headed by Zhu Weiming, president of Zhoushan-based Zhejiang Seaport Bulk Commodity Exchange Co, recently visited Taicang port area with the aim of deepening cooperation with its Jiangsu counterpart.
Hu Xuefeng from Taicang Port Economic and Technological Development Zone gave the visitors the details on Taicang port's basic situation, including its history, achievements and industrial parks during a meeting.
Zhou said that, based on the bulk commodity logistics of Ningbo-Zhoushan port and Zhejiang free trade zone's preferential policies, his company is dedicated to offering its clients warehousing supervision, warehouse receipts registration, liquidation, clearing, and other financial services.
He hoped to further the two sides' cooperation in trade and logistics.
The Ningbo-Zhoushan port is a deep water one, consisting of inland, estuary and coastal harbors. There are a total of 191 berths, including 39 deep water berths with a tonnage of 10,000 or more.
The exchanges not only brought advanced experience in port management to Taicang, but also laid a solid foundation for both sides' further cooperation, according to Hu.
