DACKS Named and Delivered the 308,000 DWT VLCC
 
On January 4, 2018, Dalian COSCO KHI Ship Engineering（ DACKS）successfully named and delivered a 308,000 DWT VLCC.
 


DE042 ship VLCC has the total length of 333 meters, depth of 30 meters, the design speed of 15.5 knots. The vessel is the first of two VLCCs built by DACKS for China Merchants Energy Shipping.
 


Years of actual operation proved that the ship has obvious advantages including loading capacity, speed, fuel consumption and other aspects compared with similar vessels and has been fully recognized by the owners. DE042 is a new generation ship with "economy", "energy-saving", "safe" and "environment-friendly" character.
 


DACKS, with the goal of “Building world-class ships from world-class shipyard”, promoting quality, environment and occupation health safety management standards, introducing the most advanced shipbuilding technology, manufacturing process, and management practice from NACKS and KHI, strive to build a most competitive world-class shipyard in the shipbuilding industry.
 
DACKS will also design and construct more vessels with excellent performance and contribute to the development of "Maritime Silk Road" of China.
