COSCO Shipping International Announced New Chairman Appointment
 


COSCO Shipping International stated yesterday:
 
The board of directors of COSCO SHIPPING International (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd. announced that Mr. Wang Yuhang had been appointed as executive director and Chairman of the Board of the Company, and Mr. Zhu Jianhui, executive director and Vice Chairman of the Board of the Company, had been appointed as the Managing Director of the Company. In addition, Mr. Feng Boming, Mr. Chen Dong and Mr. Ren Yongqiang had been appointed as non-executive directors of the Company. On the same day, Mr. Ye Weilong, Mr. Liu Gang, Mr. Liu Xianghao and Mr. Wang Wei had resigned as executive director and chairman of the Board of the Company, Managing Director, executive director and non-executive director of the Company respectively due to change of work designation, with effect from [12th] January 2018.
 
The Board would like to take this opportunity to express its sincere gratitude to Mr. Ye Weilong, Mr. Liu Gang, Mr. Liu Xianghao and Mr. Wang Wei for their valuable contributions to the Company during their tenure of services and welcome Mr. Wang Yuhang, Mr. Feng Boming, Mr. Chen Dong and Mr. Ren Yongqiang to join the Board.
 
Mr. Wang Yuhang, aged 56, is executive vice president of China COSCO SHIPPING Corporation Limited, director and chairman of COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong) Co., Limited, non-independent and non-executive director and chairman of COSCO SHIPPING International (Singapore) Co., Ltd., and non-executive director and vice chairman of China International Marine Containers (Group) Co., Ltd. Mr. Wang was the executive vice president of China Ocean Shipping (Group) Company, the vice president of COSCO Americas Inc., the general manager of COSCO Shipbuilding Industry Company and the general manager of COSCO Shipyard Group Co., Ltd. Mr. Wang graduated from Dalian Maritime College (now known as Dalian Maritime University) majoring in marine engineering management and is a senior engineer. He has over 30 years’ experience in shipping industry and has rich experience in human resources and corporate operation management.
 
The Board believes that under the leadership of Chairman Wang, every director will make his best contribution to the Company, so as to drive the Company towards a faster and better development.
