Chilean Maritime Director General visits Singapore

The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) is hosting Vice Admiral (VADM) Guillermo Lüttges, Director General, Directorate General of Maritime Territory and Merchant Marine (DIRECTEMAR), Chile, under its Distinguished Visitors Programme (DVP) from 3 to 6 June 2018.

The DVP visit seeks to foster closer bilateral relations between the MPA and DIRECTEMAR. As part of the visit programme, VADM Lüttges was given an overview of Maritime Singapore and included visits to MPA’s Port Operations Control Centre and Integrated Simulation Centre. Other highlights of VADM Lüttges’ DVP included a visit to PSA Corporation and tour of the container terminal, and an exchange of views with the shipping industry. The visit underscores the excellent cooperation between Singapore and Chile, which also serve on the Councils of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the International Association of Marine Aids to Navigation and Lighthouse Authorities (IALA).
