China Shipping bulletins on September 7,2018


1.After a 33-day voyage,Chinese ice-class cargo ship Tian En,designated to transport cargo via the northeastern shipping route of the Polar Silk Road,arrived Thursday at Rouen port, France, where part of the cargo will be unloaded. 
 
2.DNV GL granted approval in principle to Jiangnan Shipyard’s new liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier design.
 
3.DNV GL and Menon Economics announced that China is the top international shipping nation according to their new report“The Leading Maritime Nations of the World”,which was presented at the SMM trade fair in Hamburg
 
4.Li Xiaopeng,China's Minister of Transport met with James F. Cowley,the Director of the Liberia Maritime Bureau in Beijing on Sep 5.The two sides exchanged views on deepening maritime cooperation and signed a relevant maritime agreement.
 
5.China's crude oil futures settled lower on Thursday.The main contract for December delivery was down 1.08 percent to 520.00 yuan per barrel,data from the Shanghai International Energy Exchange (INE) showed. 
 
6.Mitsui OSK Lines’ president and chief executive, Junichiro Ikeda revealed earlier this week that the newly established MOL Worldwide Logistics Ltd is to be headquartered in Hong Kong.
 
7.COSCO Shipping Lines reported a 12.4 per cent year-on-year increase in throughput in the first of half 2018,citing economies of scale and improved management as volumes hit 11.24 million TEU.
 
8.From May,2011 to 31 August,2018,China's Rudong terminal in Jiangsu province imported a total of 20.8 million tons of LNG.
