China Shipping bulletins on July 24,2019


1.Zhuhai Port Shipping, the shipowning unit of Zhuhai Port, has signed a strategic agrerment with Zhuhai-based startup company Cloudrift to jointly work on the development of unmanned ships.
 
2.Yonghua Shipping, a shipping unit of Shanghai-based Ningshen Group, has placed an order at AVIC Dingheng Shipbuilding for the construction of a 11,960 dwt chemical tanker.
 
3.China's crude oil futures settled higher on Tuesday.The most active contract for September 2019 delivery increased 1.75 percent to 436.8 yuan per barrel, data from the Shanghai International Energy Exchange showed. 
 
4.Benchmark Dalian iron ore on Tuesday fell to its weakest in six sessions, pressured by slowing demand in the wake of more output restrictions on steel producers in China’s top steelmaking city of Tangshan.
 
5.The Chinese government is in discussions with state and privately owned soybean buyers over a plan to raise purchases of US supplies, according to people familiar with the situation.
 
6.The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) signed a strategic framework agreement with the China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) that includes cooperation on LNG. 
 
7.Heerema Marine Contractors has signed a new contract to support the construction of a wind farm project, this time in Taiwan. Assigned by the Taiwan branch of Jan de Nul, Heerema will take on the installation of 21 jacket foundations (4 legged) for the Changhua project.
 
8.A court in Fujian has ruled to liquidate defunct Fujian Crown Sea Shipping, along with its subsidiary Fujian Crown Ocean Shipbuilding.
