Underwriting Assistant for Newline Underwriting Division

Newline Underwriting Division is the underwriting division within Lloyd's China specific to Lloyd's Newline Syndicate 1218 .
Newline Underwriting Division focuses on offering product liability and general liability reinsurance via Lloyd's China platform, serving clients in a wide range of industries: healthcare (including pharmaceutical, medical devices, nutritional foods and drinks, etc.), transportationand industrial equipment, energy and service industries, etc.
We also provides the reinsurance classes of business including but not limited to Affinity, Fine Art and Specie, Cargo, Professional Indemnity, Bankers Blanket Bonds (BBB) / Crime, Directors & Officers Liability,Financial Institutions, etc.
Job Description
●Provide admin support to the underwriting director
●Deal with daily underwriting supporting job to support underwriter
●Ensure all underwriting data is kept up to date and accurately entered on to the relevant systems
●Produce fulland accurate data for various reporting functions
●Assist in adhoc research and project work
Minimum Requirements
●Major in Insurance, English, Finance,Economics or Law of an established university is preferred
●General knowledge of insurance / law if major is not the above
●1-3 years of working experience in insurance industry
●A strong command of English (CET six or above)
●Technically proficient in Microsoft Office and PPT
●An outgoing and confident personality
●An analytical mind and a high degree of numeracy
●To be acommitted team player
●Diligent and willing to work under high pressure
