The past two decades have seen the port's container throughput rise from 1 million in 1998 to this year's record.

Ten new domestic and foreign trade routes have opened this yearat the port. The port is now connected to more than 800 ports in more than 200 countries and regions around the world. Its container throughput continues to rank first among the world's top 10 ports.
