Business Development Executive China - Shanghai

We are looking for a passionate Business Development Executive to join our new Business Development team based in Shanghai. This position will focus on sales to the Chinese market.

Overview

We are looking for a hardworking,results driven and confident team member with a strong sales background to join our Business Development team in China. Having an excellent phone and personal manner is a necessity. A clear understanding of Chinese business practice is also key. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work well underpressure, problem solve, and be confident communicating with team members and management. There will be an opportunity as the role progresses to travel athome and abroad.

Responsibilitieswill include, but are not limited to:  

Identifying new business andgenerating sales of VV products. Managing all aspects of the Sales process from liaising with themarketing and PR team on fullytrackable campaigns, finding new prospects and negotiating new deals andpartnerships. The candidatewould be expected to have previous experience of sales, preferably B2B.Attending industry events and generating leads through networking.

Keyskills required:

• Teamworkspirit

• Must be fluent in written andspoken business English and Mandarin

• Knowledge/experience ofthe maritime sector is desirable but not essential

• Confident at coldcalling

• Proven track record of sales toshipping industry in China

• Strong communication skills(listening, questioning, written, verbal) and organisational skills

• Ability to work under tightdeadlines

• Excellent attention to detail

• Able to work both independently andin collaboration with multiple teams

• Previous experience with Salesforce(preferable)

• Willingness to travel
