There are a lot of costs when we use the car, such as car fuel costs, car maintenance costs, car insurance ... ... For people who often run high speed, tolls are definitely a big expenditure. The annual tolls of truck drivers may be hundreds of thousands of RMB or even more.
Compared with the tolls of the ship, the car’s is really negligible, and the Panama Canal toll 220,000 US dollars for one time, equivalent to 1.5 million yuan. It can be called as the world's most Expensive tolls.
The 81.3-kilometer-long Panama Canal stretches across the Isthmus of Panama and connects the Pacific Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean. As the "World Bridge" and one of the seven wonders of the world's engineering, Panama Canal is one of the most important shipping routes in the world and is owned and managed by the Republic of Panama.
The Panama Canal has the best business among the world’s toll stations, as 5% of the world's sea trade ships go through this river, with 304 meters in the widest part and 152 meters in the narrowest part.

In 2016, the Panama Canal has been improved and broadened to make it more capable of carrying more than 1.7 million ships a year, transporting more than 600 million tons of cargo.

Each year, 38% of the ships passing the Panama Canal are Chinese and American ships. The tolls handed over to them are as high as 9.6 billion. In some cases, the tolls of one ship a year are over 100 million. However, It shortens shipping time and greatly reduces the costs for the shippers.
