Milestone Achieved! The very first of the Belt and Road between Brazil and China archived over 10 million tonnes of iron ore transportation

On April 2, the 300,000 DWT He Ying successfully berthed at Luoyu Port, marking over 10 million tonnes of iron ore transported along the Brazil–China “the Belt and Road”

This high-efficiency, deep-sea route connecting Brazil’s Tubarão Port and Fujian’s Luoyu Port spans more than 10,000 nautical miles and symbolizes the growing synergy between shipping, ports, and trade under the Belt and Road Initiative.

Luoyu Port, one of the few global ports capable of handling 400,000 DWT vessels, continues to set records as a regional hub for bulk cargo. The coordinated efforts of maritime, port, and customs authorities ensured a safe, smooth call for this ocean giant.

As Mr. Li Nan, General Manager of Silk Road Maritime Fujian, noted: this route is a benchmark of integrated development. It strengthens resilient global supply chains and brings new momentum to international cooperation.
